9 Tips to make your home GREEN

For our third posting,
we are going to share to all of you about 9 tips to make your home GREEN.

I'm not talking about painting your house in GREEN colour, so if you want to know what is my meaning let's go on with my further information.

1. Select a "champion".

2. Do an energy audit.

3. Review your electricity rate plans for service charges and meter read mistakes.

4. Buy energy star rated home appliances.
    (find equipment rating before purchase on)

5.Opt for GREEN flooring and non volatile organic paints.

6. Get solar panels or small scale wind turbines for your location.

7. Consider retrofits for bulbs/lighting, more utilities/electricity suppliers offer rebates.

8. Reduce "vampire power" by using smart plugs.

9. Take contol of your mailbox.
